Who can sign up?
ABA therapy is available for children, youth, and teens who can benefit from extra support with emotion regulation, social skills & navigating friendships, skill building, communication, behaviour, self-advocacy, and daily living skills.
Ages: 18 months to 18 years
Program Structure: 1 hour session minimum
Diagnosis required: No
Who It Helps
ABA therapy helps children and teens who may:
- experience challenges with communication, social interaction, peer relationships
- need support with emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility and perseverance
- have difficulty with transitions, staying on task, attention, or routines
- need support developing independence, coping skills, and positive behaviours
- Benefit from structured, consistent, and compassionate teaching approaches
- Have struggled to make connections with others
- Benefit from an individualized therapy
- Require support building expressing and receptive language
- Require support in building skills or generalizing skills in domains such as; language, self-help, hygiene routines, feeding, regulation, academics, fine motor, gross motor, toilet training, independent play, imitation
- Require support in decreasing self-injurious behaviours
- Require additional support for mental health and well-being through counselling and behaviour-based strategies
- require support in decreasing severe problem behaviour
