Assistive Devices Program (ADP) for Adults

Individuals with a physical disability may be eligible for funding to support purchasing some types of assistive devices (equipment). Our occupational therapy (OT) team includes members who are authorized to provide the assessments, make recommendations and complete the documentation required to apply for funding support through the Assistive Devices Program for a variety of equipment including wheelchairs. Our speech-language pathology (SLP) team includes clinicians with individual authorizer status for ADP which allows them to recommend and secure funding for specific devices to improve communication. We can also provide referrals to clinics with complete SLP authorizer designation.
